Frequently Asked Questions

What is MMA?

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a hybrid combat sport incorporating techniques from boxing, wrestling, Brazilian jujitsu, karate, Muay Thai (Thai boxing), and other disciplines. It's known for its diversity and requires proficiency in striking, grappling, and submissions.

Is MMA training suitable for beginners?

Yes, absolutely! Our classes are designed to accommodate kids, men and women of all skill levels, including beginners. Our experienced instructors will provide personalized guidance and support to help you progress at your own pace. No prior experience is required. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or a complete beginner, you're welcome to join our classes and start your journey in MMA.

What do I bring to my first class?

All you need is comfortable workout attire, a pair of slides or flip flops, a water bottle, and hand wraps. If you have your own gloves and shin guards, feel free to bring them, otherwise, we have equipment available for use.

What if I don't like being hit?

We only utilize sparring in the specifically labeled sparring classes, otherwise we use pad based techniques. Unless you choose to participate in those classes, you will not get hit. Safety is our top priority. While MMA is a contact sport, our instructors are highly trained professionals who prioritize proper technique and injury prevention. We provide a controlled and supportive environment for training to minimize the risk of injury.

Can I try a class before I sign up for a membership?

Definitely! All our memberships and pricing is available on our website, through the Memberships page. We offer single class drop ins for $25 per class.

What are your cleaning practices?

All classes end 5 minutes before the scheduled time to allow for cleaning of the mats. We also do not allow shoes on the mats, nor do we allow bare feet off the mats. We take the cleanliness of our facility very seriously and make sure mats and change rooms are cleaned between classes and at the end of each day.
